Non-Surgical Butt Lift
Get the voluptuous, beautiful butt you’ve always dreamed of without surgery or downtime!
Sculptra®/RADIESSE® Butt Lift and Body Contouring
With age, your skin’s natural collagen supply decreases and you may start to notice sagging skin – not just on your face, but across all areas of your body! Everybody wants to have a perky, firm, and toned butt; However, genetics, aging, and gravity often present obstacles, making that desired outcome (i.e. the perfect butt or smooth hip area) difficult to achieve.
Thankfully, in today’s ever-evolving Medical and Aesthetic world, we have options. The traditional surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) with the use of implants and/or fat grafting is one option. Our favorite and completely customizable [non-surgical] option and one of the most popular methods for enlarging, smoothing, and sculpting the butt is by using the dermal filler Sculptra® or RADIESSE®. Sculptra® and RADIESSE® are not a substitute for implants or fat grafting, but the Non-Surgical BBL is a revolutionary and minimally invasive alternative that provides subtle, yet noticeable lift while also reducing the appearance of cellulite and tightening the skin with no downtime. Read more about the differences between surgical and non surgical BBLs.
Gerrie Obi speaks to ISPAN about Using Biostimulators For BBLs
With over three decades of experience in plastic and aesthetic procedures and as a pioneer in non-surgical butt lifts, Gerrie Obi was asked to speak about it at the ISPAN Conference.
Sculptra® and RADIESSE® are FDA-approved injectables that help restore volume, subtly and gradually, over time. Sculptra® or RADIESSE® is injected within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and restore your skin’s inner structure and volume and the look of fullness to the butt and/or hip area.
Sculptra® is made of a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, (commonly found in biodegradable stitches) which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments. RADIESSE® is another collagen stimulator that is composed of tiny calcium-based microspheres (calcium hydroxylaptite, or CaHA) suspended in a water-based gel. The microspheres are similar to minerals found naturally in the body and over time, the body absorbs and metabolizes the microspheres, leaving behind only your natural collagen.
The number of appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost, the size of the treatment area, and the patient’s desired outcome. On average, one to three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months. Each appointment can be completed in approximately 1-2 hours. Results from a Sculptra® Butt Lift improve over time and typically last two to five years.
What to Expect with Sculptra® and RADIESSE®
Sculptra® and RADIESSE® injections are relatively painless, and we will work to ensure your comfort during the procedure. A skilled nurse practitioner will make injections in the target areas to carefully sculpt the contours. Little to no downtime is required, however specific post-treatment care is necessary and will be discussed during your appointment. Results are typically seen within a few months.
There is a chance that patients may experience mild redness and bruising, which can be reduced by avoiding medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin E for one week before treatment. The use of arnica gel may also help some patients avoid bruising. Over time, your body will absorb the fillers so follow-up treatments are needed to maintain results.
