Protective Protocols at OBI BioAesthetic Institute for Reopening on Monday, May 4th, 2020
OBI will be resuming our regularly scheduled office hours and will begin seeing patients again this coming Monday, with limited services.
There will be some noticeable changes to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 to help ensure your safety and that of our staff. We have considered all aspects of the appointments and even did practice runs to make certain we can meet, or even exceed, the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines for our “new normal” for treatments and consultations.
Rosacea is a chronic and common, yet largely misunderstood inflammatory skin condition affecting more than 415 million people globally. Common signs of rosacea include persistent facial redness, inflammation, dull/dry skin, telangiectasia (“spider veins”), excess oil, and/or premature aging.
Although rosacea can affect all segments of the population and all skin types, fair-skinned individuals are believed to be the most at risk. Rosacea is more frequently diagnosed in women, but tends to be more severe in men. This condition may develop at any age, but for most, it typically presents around age 30 as flushing […]
To Our OBI BioAesthetic Institute Family,
It was with great deliberation regarding the increasing threat of COVID-19 to our patients, staff, families, and community that we made the decision to temporarily close the physical doors of OBI BioAesthetic Institute.
We empathize with the frustration everyone is experiencing; however, due to the elective nature of what we do at OBI, and the ever-increasing need for social distancing in our communities, we are confident this is the right decision.
Our administrative staff has been in contact and will continue […]
Gratitude – the state of being grateful; thankfulness
With the holidays upon us and the end of the year rapidly approaching, many of us will reflect on the moments, experiences, feelings and individuals that evoke gratitude. Sadly, the holiday season can also be rife with overspending, difficult memories or social isolation. The powerful feeling of gratitude can not only enlist emotions of contentment and satisfaction, gratitude can positively impact our well-being.
When we practice gratitude, hormones and neurotransmitters are released which help sustain the feeling of positivity. Feelings of positivity help guard us from […]
My Experience with Silhouette InstaLift as a Patient
In July, OBI BioAesthetic Institute posted a blog on Silhouette InstaLift, an FDA-cleared state of the art suspension suture which offers the dual benefit of a lift, as well as the stimulation of collagen, for rejuvenated and natural results without surgery.
Well, after watching so many patients get such great results, I wanted to be an InstaLift recipient! I was the ideal candidate – middle age, needing a little lift but not a candidate for a facelift. As great as fillers have been restoring facial volume, fillers simply could not provide the lift I […]

Seborrheic Keratoses and Eskata
Have you noticed waxy, slightly raised brown or tan growths forming on your face, torso or arms? Those scaly, waxy growths tend to appear as we age. They are called seborrheic keratoses (SK), and they are one of the most common noncancerous skin growths in older adults. SK are normally painless and require no treatment, unless they are cosmetically unappealing or become irritated by clothing.
Previous treatment options to remove SKs included:
- Freezing with liquid nitrogen (cryosurgery) – this option does not always work and is uncomfortable.
- Scraping the skin’s surface […]
