What Should I Expect from Bellafill® Treatment?
Your treatment with Bellafill® will be relatively pain-free, as it incorporates lidocaine to decrease discomfort. If it is your first time being treated with this product, a simple collagen test will be required to ensure you are not allergic to collagen. Next, one of our skilled nurse practitioners will carefully inject the product into the area being treated. The entire procedure typically lasts about an hour or less. There is no downtime required, however, some people experience mild redness and bruising. Most patients go right back to their daily activities following treatment; however, specific post-treatment care is necessary and will be discussed during your appointment. Mild redness and bruising can be reduced by avoiding medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen and vitamin E for one week prior to treatment. The use of arnica may also help some patients avoid bruising. You will immediately see results that will continue to improve over time.
