Radio Frequency Micro-Needling

Rohrer’s Pixel8 Radio Frequency Micro-Needling System has been specifically designed to deliver RF energy directly into the epidermal, dermal, and subdermal layers of tissue in order to heat and stimulate collagen. This non-surgical procedure is safe and effective on all skin types. For optimal results, treatments are recommended in a series. Depending on the patient and the treatment area, one to three treatments may be recommended.

There are many indications for RF Micro-Needling:

  • Skin Tightening
  • Wrinkle Reduction
  • Scar Improvement (Acne Scars, Traumatic Scars, Chicken Pox Scars, etc.)
  • Skin Tone & Texture Improvement
  • Stretch Mark Reduction

  • Rejuvenation and Increased Collagen Production
  • Eliminates Hyperhidrosis (excess sweating in the under arms, palms of hands, soles of feet)
  • Scar Reduction

How Does This Treatment Work?

The Pixel8 has very fine needles that barely pierce the surface of the skin with virtually no pain or discomfort at all (after topical numbing cream is applied). Our system provides precise and controlled coagulation and hemostasis deep within the dermis to help stimulate collagen, providing dramatic skin tightening and skin rejuvenation. The micro-needle depth can be adjusted for each treatment area. Thereby, allowing for customized treatments to delicate areas, such as under the eyes, the forehead, and cheek bones.

Can This Treatment Be Used On All Skin Types?

YES! Unlike laser treatments, the Pixel8-RF uses only radio frequency energy. The micro needles precisely deliver the RF energy into the dermis tissue. The is virtually no thermal damage to the epidermis and almost eliminates the risk of PIH (Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) in darker skin types. Therefore, it is safe to use on all skin types and all colors of skin.

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

After a RF Micro-needling treatment, most patients will experience transient erythema (aka redness) of the treated area(s) which may occur 3-4 hours following the treatment. Depending on the depth/aggression of your treatment, redness may last up to 24 hours. **No downtime is required. Makeup can be worn the next day.
